Collecting your information

1. Dash may collect Personal Information to be used and disclosed for general administration and communication with schools, parents and carers and for matters relating the health, safety and welfare of students in connection with participation in an event or any other purpose required or permitted by law. General administration includes Dash and its helpdesk support, school sport unit administrators, school administrators, approved teachers at the school attended and affiliated sports administration managers.
2. Your Dash Account information may be accessed by Dash employees who are authorised to access this information. All Dash employees are trained about their privacy obligations
3. We may collect personal information directly from you or someone, a parent or guardian, an administrator or someone you authorise on your behalf. We will only ask for personal information from another source in the event of an emergency.

Using your information

1. Most of the personal information Dash collects will be used to assist in providing you services in the Dash App, for communicating with schools, parents and carers and for matters relating the health, safety and welfare of students in connection with participation in an event or any other purpose required or permitted by law.
2. It may also be disclosed and used in an emergency situation, or where we are authorised or required to do so by law.

Protecting your information

1. Dash will put in place reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, disclosure or other misuse.
2. How we collect and handle your personal information is subject to the NSW Privacy Laws, being the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998.

Privacy of the Dash App Website

This website is maintained by Dash, which operates the website using the name ‘Dash’. Dash does not have any control or responsibility for the privacy policies or practices of third party sites linked to the Dash site.

1. Information that we collect from you as a visitor to this website
   When you use this website, Dash may collect information about your computer, such as your IP address and/or browser which we will use for administration purposes and statistical analysis. This information will not usually identify you personally. We do this by placing a ‘cookie’, which is a small file, on your computer’s hard disk. Cookies are used for several reasons: to recognise you whenever you visit this website, to speed up access to this website, to store your personal preferences, to build a profile about you. The vast majority of web browsers accept cookies. However, you can change your browser settings so that cookies are not accepted. If you do this, you may lose some of the functionality of this website.
2. Other uses
   Dash reserves the right to disclose information relevant authorities where there is a reasonable suspicion that an offence has been committed.
3. Secure storage
   Information collected is stored in a secure format and location. Information no longer required is deleted after a period of 15 years.
4. Updates to this policy
   This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. The amended policy will be posted to the Dash site and will operate from the time it is posted.

Dash Account

1. Privacy statement
   “Dash App” is an online service run by Dash which enables students, parents and guardians to interact with schools in relation to sports programming. A “Dash Account” is required to use the Dash App.
2. Collection of information and purpose of collection
   1. When you create a Dash Account, all users will be asked to provide personal information including
      1. Your full name;
      2. Your mobile number;
      3. Your email address;
   2. Creating a Dash Account is voluntary; however, you cannot create a Dash Account without providing these details
3. Issuing of communications
   1. Communication and notifications will be sent to you from Dash, and relevant schools and agencies, dependent on the settings you select
   2. Should you wish to cease receiving information from Dash you have options to opt-out of receiving it.
4. Intended recipients of the information
   Dash may disclose your personal information if it is:
   1. necessary to provide the services of the Dash App, or
   2. with your consent, or
   3. as required by law
5. Access to, and correction of, the information
   You can access, review and correct the personal information held by Dash by logging into your Dash Account and accessing, reviewing and correcting your information as contained in your account, and
